Miras International School in Almaty and the NEFF Public Foundation in cooperation with the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) hold the THIRD KAZAKHSTAN REPUBLICAN WATER PROJECT CONTEST FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The contest is aimed at developing and encouraging scientific and technological activities and project activities of high school students in the field of sustainable water management, focusing on solving problems of water treatment, water purification and maintenance of biological diversity of water resources and is the national stage of the prestigious international contest Stockholm Junior Water Prize.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and has gathered thousands of participants from more than 30 countries annually since 1997.

Students of high school aged 14 to 18 years from general secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums will take part in the Kazakhstan online stage.

An independent, reputable jury, including experts in ecology, chemistry, physics and biotechnology, will choose the winners of the contest.

If you are a high school student with a passion for science and a love for completing projects, apply for our contest by February 25. All finishers of the contest will receive commemorative gifts. Second and third place winners will receive valuable gifts. Finally, the two authors of the best project will have the opportunity to travel to Stockholm (Sweden) to represent Kazakhstan at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2023! The trip will be paid by the Organising Committees of Kazakhstan and Sweden.
